Graduation Order FAQ

When do we order our Graduation Products?

We will have a class meeting with your Senior Class sometime during the Fall semester.  During the meeting we will announce the order dates and pass out ordering information.  You will then place your order along with the rest of your classmates during our in-school order days.  It is vital that every student turns their order in on time to get the best price possible and to avoid the possibility your items coming in late.

How do I place my order?

We will discuss the basics of ordering during the Senior Class Meeting.  We ask the students to bring their order forms to the ordering table with the very top filled out (Formal Name, mailing address, phone #, and school information) along with the Cap and Gown measurements (height, weight, and gender).  We will be glad to answer any other questions you may have and assist you with completing the order form.  When placing your order you will need to pay a $80 deposit.  If your order is less than $80, then you must pay in full.

When will my order be delivered?

Several items such as t-shirts, hoodies, memory books, and senior jewelry can be delivered as soon as you place your order and pay your deposit.  This allows you to use and enjoy these products throughout your entire Senior year!  The remainder of you Graduation order will be delivered in the Spring.  You will be personally notified of the delivery date through a mailer, school announcements, and electronic messaging (if applicable).  Typically we deliver your cap & gown separately from your Fine Paper order (announcements, namecards, etc.).  Your balance must be paid in full before the cap and gown can be delivered.

I paid my deposit, when is the remainder due?

We allow you to make payments from the time you place your graduation order until early Spring.  Senior orders must be paid for by March 15th.  All balances must be paid in full before any products can be delivered.  You have several options for making payments.  Our payment plans are flexible and interest free.  You may chose the option which is most convenient for you.   Please see the Payments webpage  for more information and payment instructions.

Do I have to order a package?

We put together the packages to be your best value for the money.  We highly encourage you to select a package because they include many of the most popular products based on our customer feedback.  The packages are designed to make ordering quick and easy, however, if you would like to order items a-la-cart, you may.

Who do I send Announcements to?

You will want to send announcements to friends, family, and any other important people in your life.  The announcement tells them that you are graduating and the date, time, and place of graduation.  It is NOT an invitation to the actual commencement ceremony.  Please see Announcement Etiquette 101 for helpful tips regarding announcements.

Can I change/cancel my graduation order?

You have 72 hours to request any changes to your order. After 72 hours, deposits are non-refundable and all merchandise ordered must be paid for to receive your cap and gown. If you are not eligible to graduate you must contact our office in writing prior to graduation to request a refund on applicable items. You can receive a refund on your cap and gown unit and certain senior graduation items minus a 25 percent restocking fee. All items that are subject to a refund must be in our office in 100 percent new condition and original packaging prior to graduation to be eligible. Please allow 4-6 weeks for refunds to be processed. Personalized items such as namecards are NOT eligible for a refund. Shipping and Handling Fees are not refundable. PLEASE NOTE: Any items not picked up by the end of school will be held in our office for 10 days past graduation. Unclaimed merchandise will not be eligible for refund.

Can I order via phone?

We collect the majority of our senior graduation orders during the ordering sessions at school.  We do NOT accept any phone orders, therefore it is vital that you get your order placed while we are at your school.  If you fail to get your order turned in at school you can mail it to our office (PO Box 249, Skyland, NC 28776).
